Latest news: I'll be at the Barnaby Festival at Macclesfield this Saturday and Sunday, 19th and 20th June for a book signing and I'm looking forward to meeting up with those of you who can make it. If you can't get there yourself, perhaps you could email a bunch of like minded friends (and ask them to forward the news to their contacts). That way we'll get the news around. I'll be easy to find. Hope you can make it.

June 15th.
It’s been a busy time, but things are certainly starting to happen. I
had a meeting with the management team of Waterstones in Carlisle a
few days ago and the good news is that they loved to book and
everything about it. They feel that Undercover Curry is going to plug
a big gap in the market and they want to assist in rolling out the
book across their whole national network – and as they are the UK’s
biggest national bookshop chain that makes a lot of shops it’s going
to appear in!
It will take a few weeks to get it set up in their system, but you
won’t have to wait much longer. (Of course, it is still available from
www.undercovercurry.com and that’s with the added advantage of getting
a signed copy.)
Talking of signed copies, though, I’ll be signing books at Waterstones
of Carlisle on Saturday 31st of July, so make a note of that in your
diary. I’m looking forward to seeing masses of curry fans at that
first UK signing.
I’ve just done a run to make bookshops aware of Undercover Curry and
to ask them to place an order for it from their wholesaler. My route
took me from Ellesmere Port to Chester, then onto the A41 to
Whitchurch, then down to Shrewsbury, up to Telford and a late visit
into Market Drayton before heading back to Ellesmere Port for some
much needed sleep.
The discussions I’ve had with book sellers to date have been very
positive, so I’d expect that many of those I’ve seen will be ordering
from their supplier. This means that if you live anywhere along that
loop you can start asking your local bookshop when they expect to have
copies available. I’ll add a few details in the next blog.
Till then, curry lovers
Dave.
(And thanks for all the messages of support – they are appreciated.)
